The Thredbo sun starts to gather some warmth and the mountain bike trails open up. November is an ideal time of year for a walk to Kosi as not only will you get glimpses of snow and first sightings of wildflower buds, the temperatures will keep you nice and cool. Average Max Temperature: 16.5 degrees Celsius

With an extra few hours of sunlight December days are long enough to get the most out of Thredbo. Stunning native Australian wildflowers coat the top of the mountain and it’s the perfect climate to enjoy an evening BBQ on the Thredbo river. Average Max Temperature: 19.1 degrees Celsius

Take a dip in the river, cool down with a cold beverage on any of the pub balconies or enjoy the exciting January events. A Kids Holiday Carnival, Thredbo Blues Festival, and Australia Day celebrations are only a few of the many reasons a trip to Thredbo in January is a guaranteed good time. Average Max Temperature: 21.4 degrees Celsius

Make the journey to Thredbo and work off that summer season bulk in mountains at the Thredbo Leisure Centre or on one of the many beautiful walking trails around the village. Bring an extra layer of clothes and head out to Dead Horse Gap on sundown and find a wild Brumby. Average Max Temperature: 21 degrees Celsius

With University Students and Children back in school, now is the time for Grandma and Grandpa to hit the road….. along with anyone wanting to avoid the crowds! March days offer the perfect climate for enjoying a mountain bike ride down the Thredbo Valley Trail as well as three days of music at the Thredbo Country Music Festival. The biggest Easter egg hunt in the Snowy Mountains happens in Thredbo, over 1000 delicious chocolate eggs are spread out across the Village Green for children of all ages to collect, creating quite the show for parents to enjoy.
