Kids are well looked after in Thredbo, as well as the best learners facilities available, the introduction of the Snow Play area in 2014 has proved a huge success with guests of all ages enjoying the tubing and toboggan slopes and the exciting family activities offered throughout the winter. The snow play area is the ultimate way to end any day on the snow and if the little legs can’t cope with 8 full hours skiing, they can still be engrossed in the great outdoors playing in the snow! This winter season guests can again experience the same adrenaline filled snow play action so if you missed out on the giant slide last winter make sure you have a turn this year. Another option for entertainment if you decide to ski for only half a day, is the Thredbo Leisure Centre, featuring a heated lap pool, family play pool, waterslide, inflatable obstacle courses, a climbing wall, gym, squash courts and more, come and swim a lap overlooking the snow covered trails.

Going out in Thredbo
Nightlife in Thredbo should be experienced; there is no other town in Australia where you can roam the streets on foot, waiting for a break in the snow, darting between cosy après bars and tasting the local schnapps! Find a Thredbo babysitter for a few hours and make your way through the Apres bars to find one of the many quality restaurants in the Village. Dine at Berntis for a selection of tasty Tapas or try the meat feast at Santé Brazilian BBQ, there are more traditional mountain meals available at TBar and The Black Bear Inn or if you want to treat yourself The Knickerbocker, recipient of 2013 and 2014 Good Food Guide award, offers a delicious menu from French chef Jean Michel.

Australias Best Ski Chalet
