Easter in the Snowy Mountains

Easter is a flurry of activities and events and a great fun time to experience the region outside of winter.
In Jindabyne the annual Lake Light Sculpture walk is a free open air event where artists are showcasing their talents in a beautiful setting. The walk is best experienced at night under lights, but we suggest to do it during the day first and then again at night to get both perspectives.
At kids favourite is the Giant Easter Egg hunt in Thredbo on the Village Green. There will be chocolate galore and we suggest to work of the sugar hit with a swim and a water slide in the Thredbo Leisure Centre followed by a bobsled ride. If you are early enough you may be able to spot Easter Bunny taking a chair lift ride on the Kosciuszko Express Chair or even have a bobsled. Apart from the Giant Easter Egg Hunt kids will be to get a face paint, hit the Jumpy jumping castle or catch a movie in the Kosi Room of the Thredbo Alpine Hotel.
Thredbo Mountainbike will also host a free workshop on the pump track. There will be a dance party in the Keller Party with prize to be won for best dressed and best moves. And there are still lots more activities your children can enjoy to be thoroughly entertained.
The Adrenaline junkies definitely should try out the Thredbo Cannonball, Australia's most iconic mountain bike track. The Thredbo Alpine Hotel will heat up the pool to host an outdoor party including a DJ. For a relaxed Easter lunch will recommend visiting Wild Brumby Distillery on the Alpine Way. Beautiful grounds, tasty Austrian style cuisine and award winning Schnapps should be experienced. A dinner a Knickerbocker Restaurant should not be missed. Beautiful French cuisine will satisfy any foodie.
For a great family experience and relaxed atmosphere the Snowy Mountains are your one stop shop this Easter.
